• How to Measure Ingredients
• What do you use to measure
• Principles of Baking (period 5, I have yours already)
• Practice Reading Recipes (except Period 5)
• What's on a food Label
• Breakfast Cereal - Healthy or Unhealthy

Also due: Design a Food Label Project (directions and my sample can be found on my website, click on Learning Guide on the left, then scroll down to  Food Label Project).

Home Cooking Assignment Due Next class!

Your Home Cooking Assignment #1 is due next class. Take 3 pictures and either email them to me at mmoore@hartdistrict.org, or print them, or show me on your phone. Parent signature on the form is required! 

Also - any late or missing work is due by Friday 2/8/19 as Progress report grades for 3rd quarter are due!!

Country Foods and Culture Project Due next class

This is a reminder that Exploring Culinary I students' research project is due next class. That means Monday, 10/29/18 for periods 1 & 2, and Tuesday, 10/30 for Periods 4 & 6. 

The project includes 3 components:

1.  Questionnaire packet
2. Google Slide show shared with Mrs. Moore
3. Booklet containing 3 recipes from their country and a typed up list of sources used for this project.

Extra Credit can be earned by bringing a recipe that the student makes at home to share with the class. Items can be warmed up in class, or kept cold if needed, but no cooking on the stove on Monday.

Home Cooking Assignment #2 is Due: Tuesday, 10/9/18 for periods 1 & 2 and Wednesday, 10/10/18 for periods 4 & 6

So... if you haven't completed the assignment yet, plan your weekend to include some cooking or baking.
